Custom Heap Memory Allocator

Project Thumbnail

Implemented two high-performance heap allocators in C from scratch, recreating the functionality of malloc, free, and realloc. Designed both implicit and explicit free-list allocators with memory recycling, block coalescing, and in-place reallocation, while balancing throughput and memory utilization. Profiled and optimized the allocator using Callgrind and developed debugging tools to validate heap integrity and diagnose memory corruption.
